Hey nice to meet you!
Have you already watched the show? I've watched the first episode, and to be honest, it's pretty bad... But I think it's kinda fun to watch (ironically) with friends who actually knows something about Marx and German philosophy. There's a number of scene showing people talking about Kantian and Hegelian philosophy in a hilariously dramatic way, and it makes me laugh so hard because the scenes are so bad even though the philosophy was perfectly legit. (They have Marxian scholars as supervisors for the script!)

Yo I'm a self identified degenerate marxist weeb and I thought it was hilarious. Been wanting a philosophy anime for a long time and this one takes the piss in the best way. The scene where they fight over the girls with a philosophy debate had me on the floor. Although its not the most intuitively educational, ill definitely be tuning in for this one. If anyone knows of other broadly philosophical animes tell me

I watched the first episode a few hours ago. Well, actually i think it's excellent work. I really don't understand to what can someone "carp" in this episode. This is my personal opinion. First episode is really good. All communists - hello from the another one :)

I do not identify as one, although the ideology trumps most contemporary beliefs.

the literal authors of the book dissociated themselves from it due to "sloppy and biased scholarship". The book literally extrapolated data from the growth period before WWII and extrapolated it all the way to the end of the USSR and counted the difference between the actual population and the extrapolated population as "deaths". The book counts death caused by famines as well. And the figure of 65 million for Mao's government was so massively inflated its not even worth discussing.

Karl Marx also appears in Paris no Isabelle fyi, having a discussion with the main protagonist. Series takes place during the Paris Commune.
Hilarious series btw but in a bad way. Most wasted potential I've seen

I've read the Communist Manifesto and it will forever be one of my favourite book. Unfortunately, I have not had the time to read Das Kapital.

Those capitalist pigs will believe whatever American propaganda wants them to believe.
