I watched the movie last week and I like it, do you think there will be a Koe no katachi 2?? just asking this cause I want to read the manga but if there will be a movie 2 then I do prefer to not read the manga. thanks

I don't think so. It's perfect as it is, so there is no need for it. If there would be one, it would probably just just be a cashgrab, and those are hardly ever good, so it's better if there is none.

I will read the manga before i watch the anime because that way i think it's better and no there won't be a koe no katachi 2 although it wouldn't harm.

There are rumours that Koe no Katachi 2: Eletric Boogaloo is slated to happen in 2021 with directorial work by Naoko Yamakan I also heard that in this one everyone is deaf

The movie covers about everything in the manga accept for the last few chapters where the characters talk to eachother about what they’re going to do after high school so there will not be another movie, and in my opinion there doesn’t need to be.

I think it was perfect other than the fact that ishida and Shoku didn't have a last moment together. I am sure a lot of people wanted to see it. But if they don't make another one I just hope they add a bit with Ishida and Shoku. If it is in the manga then I am sorry for adding my comment. It is just that I really loved this anime. I hope you understand.

You know what i think would be great, a full 24 episodes T.V. series that covers all the manga, but that will ruin the magic of the movie, soooo unfortunately there'll be none

The movie was perfect as is, the manga does have more depth into each individual character, though it adds an extra layer to the story which would have made the movie take way too long and been overall useless.

I think the movie ended well. If they were to make a sequel, I think it should just be an OVA of the final arc of the manga. Maybe something like "Koe no Katachi: Afterstory" or something like that. I would also like to see just a little bit more confirmation on if they got together or remained friends, because its pretty clear that Nishimiya had some kind of feelings for Ishida (see the Tsuki-Suki scene)
