Can people who played/watched the VN to elaborate on what are the differences between anime and VN and what is missing in Anime :)

The major difference between anime and the visual novel is that in the VN there are 2 worldlines that lead to the True Ending. These worldlines are the Vega and Altair route and the Promised Rinascimento route. The anime mixed these 2 routes in one linear story and cut some parts like when Kagari had the Kurisu's memories implanted in her brain in the PR route or when Okabe goes to a worldline where WW3 happens earlier in VA route. There are many differences and I recommend that you play the VN to know them all.

They both compliment each other.
Having played the VN, there are moments opted out of the anime and some are not included at all in the VN but is in the anime, for example, episode 8, the trip to the Alpha world line, legit 5 mins in the VN, the anime dedicated an entire episode to the alpha trip.

I won't spoil more, but the VN is pretty satisfying.

I agree. LOL how I forgot to talk about the scenes exclusives of the anime? They're a great complement to the story.

Too much content was changed. The anime is basically original.
