How old are the kids supposed to be?

Has it been established how old the main characters are? It's very hard to tell by looking. Zorome and Futoshi look like 13-14 to me. Gorou could easily be 18.

It is said that they all enter puberty at the same time. Today most kids go into puberty at 10-12, but this is highly dependent on environmental factors; in the 1800s it was 15-16 (according to Wikipedia).

Is there any Word of God?

In flashback they was 9. When Zorome got yellow blood cells injection on the board with his medical results you cud see 9 year old.
There is no exact information as to their age at present, but I would risk 14-16

I think that Ichigo was said to be around 14-15 but Goro and hiro look around 16-18.

Who cares? They have anime age, so it isn't even proper to real standards. Hell, I have yet to see a teenager or even young adult that even got into puberty except for the girls growth. Damn brats don't even grow a beard until they are like 40. The closest to puberty I've ever seen in anime were Asuka's dsymenorrhea and the pimple from After the Rain...
