Has there been any significant development to the Hachiken and Mikage relationship?

I've only watched the anime and I really liked it. One thing I particularly admired was how the relationship between Hachiken and Mikage was developed. I also loved how Mikage's grandmother and mother were lining Hachiken up as a potential husband to her during his time at their farm. I had hoped the show would atleast provide a definite answer to where their relationship was headed, but the S2 ending underwhelmed me somewhat in the way it left it unaddressed. However, I realize it may have been because the manga was still ongoing and probably hadn't addressed it either at that point in time. It's been some time since I watched the S2 finale, so maybe I am forgetting some things. If that's the case, and you find this question annoying, then please accept my apologies. I just want to know where they stand with each other at this point in the manga.

That's great. And thanks. I was thinking of starting the manga, but seems like it's on hiatus again. You wouldn't happen to know when can we expect the next issue.

I love this kind of manga with quiet satisfying romance subplot where friendship develops into more.

But I wonder what happened to the "fun activity with the two of us" that Hachiken asked for right after he started tutoring Mikage. They went to that shrine together, but IIRC they never did something like that together. I remember that Hachiken asked Mikages mother (was it?) about fun activities around there at some point and she said that there was something like an hour per car away.

I hope we will see a little more dating like activity between the two when they finally start with their college/university life.


Can't wait for the manga to continue, but it looks like it's on hiatus again? Before 2015, they released a new volume roughly every 3 months.
Not volume 12 is from august 2014, volume 13 from june 2015 and volume 14 from august 2017.
Since volume 14, already a whole year passed and it went back on hiatus in june 2018. So it could take up to or even more than another whole year for a new volume.

Does anyone know what happened to the mangaka and the project?
