There's a remake after the 2003 anime but watch the original first then the remake. Skip the two movies. It derives from the source material around ep. 29 The 1st version gives a better understanding of the war even though the remake is better, there are a lot of spinoffs though, some are just fun comedies though. Skip the 8 episode filler as well, watch the 1st episode and last 2 though. The first series is an OVA, but there's a TV version and it sucks. There's a 4th season in 2008, after 9 years too. It's animated by the RomCom studio so it sucks and is outdated because of the gap. That's all, play the video games and VNs as well. |
