Sub or Dub

So I thinking about starting the show on Crunchyroll so I want to get input on which yall prefer and why?

Watch it subbed. The dubbed almost rewrote it and you'll be missing out on a lot of stuff.

The dub changes a lot of stuff which I find weird. Like names. Why would you wanna change names i dont know.

Sub is better

Even if we don't look at the translations.

They use a different voice actor for Clear Card-hen in the dub, but in the sub they keep it. The replacement voice actor really isn't a good fit for the role (And I don't even know the voice of the voice actor for the 1998 dub). It's from 1998 and it's rare for an anime from before the 2000's to have a dub that is solid enough to recommend watching.

I haven't seen either version, but this is more than enough reason to watch the sub. Maybe if they redubbed the first series, it might be worth it, but the casting Monica Rial in this really isn't a good idea. I prefer dubs, but in this case I'd trust everyone recommending the sub (normally I'll only listen to the ones who recommend the dub, and their reasoning, because the ratio is meaningless).

Long story short:
I strongly recommend the sub

If you are used to watching Western cartoons then dub would not disappoint you at all. However, sub is better because it has original lines.

It's worth mentioning the dub on Crunchyroll is the uncut Animax Asia dub not the edited Cardcaptors dub that aired on tv in america
