Probably: Vision of Escaflowne Cowboy Bebop Macross Plus Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Tsuioku-hen (aka Samurai X) Jin-Roh Maybe: Super Dimension Fortress Macross (old but gold) Ninja Scroll Trigun (hero won't kill but that doesn't stop him from being a badass) Ghost in the Shell (movie) Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories 3x3 Eyes and 3x3 Eyes Seima Densetsu Bounen no Zamdou (aka Xam'd) Berserk (original plus Golden Age movies) Iria: Zeiram the Animation Genesis Climber Mospeada Probably not but you never know: Eureka 7 Record of Lodoss War Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water |
| How about Nagi no Asukara for (very small spoiler) It's really really good. Serious tone, solid drama, romance. Characters aren't over 16 but in my opinion the art is so good that it can be overlooked. Also no action but if it doesn't have to have action this is definitely what I'd recommend. |

Yeah i tried to get into it and stopped at ep 4 got sidetracked with ipother stuff and never really had the urge to revisit it, should I? I found Black Lagoon pretty uneven, but the second season, "Second Barrage," is definitely stronger than the first. I'd skip ahead to the end of the first season and watch episodes 11-12, then watch 13-15 and 19-24 from Second Barrage. You might like Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis and Virgin Soul. They're pretty mainstream though. Junketsu no Maria is more obscure and might also have some appeal. For something really obscure I suggest Hyouge Mono. |
