| Can i watch this without seeing the original? |
| So far I've gotten the impression that especially Dr. Tenma's character is quite different from his original grown up version. I assume you won't have any troubles understanding what's going on and I guess that it will most likely function similar to a standalone or unrelated series set in the same universe but the characters themselves and their backstories might be out of character compared to their original counterparts- I'm not sure if you can view the series as canon But to answer your question, I don't think you need to have any prior knowledge (P.S.: If you'd like to see the original, I'd suggest reading the manga and not watching the anime) |
| Didn't even know this was related to some older series (until I checked this MAL page today and the relations). Liked the 1st episode and the char design and description of that other shows don't seem that interesting to me. (Probably more like some super hero series and focused on the robot in that older series while this series focusing at the developers - which seem to be more interesting chars.) I guess I'll watch this - but not too motivated to watch the other/older series related to this. |
