| The OP was asking about autism. Many of the responses here mention girls with a variety of mental disorders that are completely different from autism. I would encourage those people to learn a little more about autism, other disorders, and try not to conflate autism with any mental disorder. I would disagree with Shiina (from Pet Girl of Sakurasou) being high-functioning. She could get by well enough, possibly become wealthy, from her art talent, but given her shortcomings in basic personal care, I couldn't see her getting by without a live-in assistant. (By the way, I'm an Aspie myself.) |
