When does it start getting intense again?

After reading volume 2 i got hyped up but i dropped it after the first 5-6 volumes cause after that it was just a romantic adventure without anything special going on. Does it get back to being edgy like in the 2nd volume and when?

Personally, I'd recommend trying a few more volumes, but to be fair, volume 2 is my absolute favorite too. There are other great volumes too, but none quite as great as the 2nd one. Maybe skip the side story volume 7 and try reading to the end of the two-part volumes 8 and 9. I rather liked that bit myself.
