Not sure I understand why it's in 4-koma style. Isn't that for quick gags? It's not really following that, it seems more like it's just 4-koma for convenience sake. It even drops the format on a few pages.

Also, not sure how to feel about the female protagonist. They trying to take the gay away? I liked the gay :(

The author dropped the manga all together because "he didn't have much to say" so I think that he might have more ideas with a female MC, personally I too liked the gay part and found it pretty sweet.
