Anything similar to Bakemono no Ko?

I am looking for a nice movie to watch with my little cousin and we both enjoyed Bakemono no Ko. Loved how the Ren and Kumatetsu grew together and helped each other throughout the film. We also enjoy how one of the many themes in the movie had to do with swords and martial arts training. Also my little cousin loves the montage type training scenes.

I know my first post isn't too rah-rah but if there is anything similar or better pls let me know.

I'm not sure how many other anime films you've seen, but here's some recommendations. The ones with an * are the ones I recommend above the others, as they relate to Bakemono the most.

- Mononoke Hime *
- Howl no Ugoku Shiro
- Majo no Takkyuubin
- Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä *
- Pom Poko
- Brave story *
- Lupin III: Cagliostro no Shiro
- Tekkon Kinkreet *
- Stranger: Mukou Hadan * (Probably the most what you're looking for)
- Summer wars
- Redline * (Doesn't relate to bakemono all too much, but it's still a VERY good movie)
- Spirited away *
