| Basically was trying to search certain of anime, but I noticed that anime search in MAL are lacking of some options. 1. Episodes Count Basically option to search specifically with certain amount of episodes. Option can be "less than 6 episodes", "more than 11, less than 26 episode" or "more than 100 episodes". 2. Length duration Usually for people to search for short length episode or long duration movie. Again, it can be "less than 6 minutes each" or "more then 1 hour". 3. Combination of Type Just like genre, maybe I just want to find non-TV anime but there isnt any option aside from manually go through movie / ova / ona / music list. 4. Source On each of anime specific page, there is info said for "manga source" or "original". Would be great if there is option to choose either 1 of it. 5. Score Range It seem that current score is searching for "specific score and above it". For example, if I want to search for anime with score of 5, Im gonna assume I will get anime with score between 5 and 5.99. Same goes if I want to search anime with "score between 5 and 7.99" or "less than 4" 6. Tags uh, nvm. Apparently MAL doesnt have tags. It seem to mix genre + tags together in Genre Section. 7. Sort Option Apparently Im not sure if there was a bug or something, but sometimes my search result doesnt allowed me to "sort by type" and "sort by episode count". Additionally, we need option like "sort ascending" and "sort descending" when I click on specific tab (appear in most *cough*torrent*cough* trackers website) *I went to anidb website and it got EXACTLY the things that I wanted (except for durations, source material). | I really like 1, 4, 5 and 6. Additionally, I think you should be able to search specifically for anime from Korea or China. I know there aren't tons of them, but it would be cool because of as now the only way is using groups, which is pain in the ass. Sorry if this is already possible and I'm just too dumb to find... |
