Mine's JavaScript, then PHP.
I'm not advanced at either, but I'm better at them than others.

pretty difficult to find out, how do you measure that?
- the things you can do with? (too much difference betweens languages)
- the percentage of your knowledge of the language versus the total knowledge of the language? (seems to be the best one but if your knowledge is not at 100%, that says that you don't know the rest, so you're always thinking you're at 100%)
- the feeling, the language that is the most relaxing, my favourite language in fact

ok, I'll try that last one

I'm reaaaaally used to the C language because of its popularity and the popularity of the Clike languages (arduino, GML, etc...)
there's also the machine language that I really like, because I also really like the microprocessors, and all things related to it like binary, logic gates, electronics,... (too many like XD)

I also like javascript and brainfuck but they're weird languages (not the same way)

@deadall127

Wow. Yeah, I meant the third one, comfortability,

I don't know, but personally PHP feels very soft, when JavaScript is more edge and rough. I don't know. I don't if it's worth it to learn C when all I want to do is basically develop on the web...

Oh yeah, totally unrelated, but this article was amazing:

Hey :)

I'm not expert level in any programming language, but I've worked with JavaScript the most so I'm comfortable in that, and I also really like working with Python.

@point-nemo

Do you do client side JavaScript (with HTML and all that) or server side (nodejs)?

Client side. I'd like to learn some Node but then again there's an endless list of technologies I wanna learn :p

Let's just round everything up by saying our lord and saviour is HTML because of course that's a proper language.

I'm really sorry! I apparently have this kind of thing where whenever I post a reply on a forum thread, that thread goes silent...

Maybe it's for the best, such arguments bring nothing new to the table.

If only java could die already, everything else is fine ^^.

Probably PHP for me. It's the language I do most of my coding in. I know other languages and have used them, but not to the extent of PHP.

Wow. Hard to say.

I guess Java. I learned programming logic with it, so... Java has a special place in my heart. But then again, I hardly use it. Have been working a lot with Arduino automation lately, so this set of the C language has been conquering my attention.

On second thought, perhaps it's Ruby. I can write it way faster than any other. And it's not experience (use it about a third of the time I used C#) - it's compatibility.

On third thought, they are all my children. Can't pick one ;)

Well, I've been developing web stuff with PHP since I was 13 yo, so I feel safe to say that PHP is my best language.
Also, I do a lot of thing with Javascript, some with NodeJS. Ah, I love to write some script for bash on my servers.

I know C, but nothing above binary trees... stuff that I learned on my university.

I'm most familiar with C and C++, but I'm also familiar with x86 assembly, and am currently learning PureBasic. In the past, I actually didn't care for Basic languages at all, but PureBasic is pretty nice. I'm interested in Go and Rust, but haven't gotten around to them yet. I also used to use Vala, but that language ended up being more trouble than it's worth with maintanence gradually diminishing over the years and its compiler quirks.

I'm not too big on object oriented programming. I prefer procedural programming.

Let's not kid ourselves though; HolyC is the best language.

It's hard to choose when you know like 2.5, but I do Javascript for a living and used to have some hobby projects in Delphi. Only used C++ in the uni so there's that.

There's also Avisynth which is a script language for processing video and I like it. With enough effort pretty complex things can be done in it, like that one time I made a subtitle generator for a gameplay recording of iM@S 2.

Hard to say.

For the past five years I'm doing most of the stuff in C#, so it's the one I'm the most familiar with right now.
Before that I was really good at C++ (at one job interview I know something the person interviewing me did not*).

So I would say these two are the ones I'm the best at.

In my history with programming I also learnt: Basic (on C64 and Amiga), Pascal, Java, JavaScript, Python and PHP.
I can't say I know it, but will not be taken aback when I see Lisp. With some help from Google-sama I can even do some stuff in it.

* - if I remember correctly it was about what would happen if you use virtual method in constructor. In the example given it would result in "pure virtual function call" error. What I know, and that person did not, is that if pure virtual function had a body, it would not crash and that body would be executed (at least that's how it was before C++11)
