I mean each and every episode gives you goose bumps and I don't want an open ending since they are currently in the seventh volume and one more volume(4 episodes) and they are caught up with the light novels but the web novels are way ahead in the game Plus we need some explanations and I want them in their proper time not rushed, this series is way too similar with "Hitsugi no Chaika" for unknown reasons I get a feeling of Deja-Vu.

They're gonna adapt volume 8 & volume 9 which releases shortly after the anime's end in the last 4 episodes ( don't worry it appears as much but Volume 8 + 9 < Volume 4 ).
The end of arc 3 is both conclusive and a big cliffhanger. It will be conclusive for the third arc but it will be a cliffhanger in regards of the overall story. The end of arc 3 is only about 10% into the story. This brings me to the things that you will get an answer for...well don't expect many answers. It wouldn't be wise for any story to drop most of its answers that early which is exactly why we need this season 2.
I hope there will a second season soon because judging from what I read of spoilers till the fifth Arc nothing solid about Satella is shown but we get to see more about The Witch Cult and The Sin Archbishops plus a glimpse of The Witches of Sin and we finally get the power ranking as always Subaru is always at the bottom and Reinhard van Astrea is currently the strongest one you'll see through the whole series

Since the series is gonna adapt upto Volume 8 of the light novels, there's gonna be a big cliffhanger in the end. Volume 8 FYI doesn't even complete arc 3 (which is what we are in right now), wherein Volume 9 is expected to finish the arc and start Arc 4. After reading spoilers I can say for a fact that the cliffhanger will be huge and will be done in a way that will beg for a second season. So much so that I think its virtually guaranteed to happen considering how much effort and passion White Fox has put it into it, the crazy sales of LN's, merchandise etc.
The ones who pull the strings for second seasons and such aren't white fox but the entities that fund the project. If I were them looking at how crazy popular Re:Zero is, how easy it is to monetise the characters into figurines, how crazy people are about Rem and how easy it will be to create a game out of it (which has already just happened) then I would be the dumbest producer if I didn't green light more seasons. Also, there's also the fact that the author is already well past the LN's with his web novels, and when he first published the LN's, he used to publish 1-2 volumes a month - he only slowed down to work on the anime. Once Zero ends he should resume his pace, and there'll soon be a lot of source material that'll be able to justify a new season.
So don't despair once Zero ends cos although it will be a cliffhanger, we'll definitely see it return from deat- sometime soon :P

Um
We get a lot on Satella in Arc 4, just not everything about her.
It's not not about wether they finish the current Arc or not, it's HOW since all we know about Satella is that she is Full-Yandere-Mode for Subaru for reasons we don't know and that she sees him as an instrument for love not as a companion from what I know about Arc 04
Rosewaal basically forces Emilia to undergo a trial she has no way of overcoming without Subaru's help.
Emilia constantly mentally breaks in this arc.
There's also loads of other fun things. Like dealing with the mansion (Beatrice) getting attacked while they're away, a swarm of Gluttony rabbits (imagine a locust swarm, but of rabbits that are super deadly and can't be killed unless you kill them all at the same time) that need dealt with.
Not to mention Rosewaal himself clearly being an enemy.
Subaru gets to see a what-if segment of what might have happened (the person showing him these doesn't know if they're parallel worlds or really just the world calculating what would have happened) after he dies in certain loops.
Like Emilia bawling over Subaru killing himself after finding out Rem was in a coma, screaming WHY WHY would you do this to me.
Or Ram and Beatrice shocked that Subaru jumped off a cliff and killed himself.
Pack getting killed by Reinhardt after killing Subaru.
The one time where Sloth possesses Subaru and dies a very gruesome death while keeping Sloth trapped is a good what-if.
Since it was basically Emilia's fault and she knew it and had a front row seat.
Subaru realizes there's a possibility that those universe didn't cease to exist and takes this all very hard.
Subaru & co heads to a remote village that's secluded from the rest of the world.
If I remember correctly mixed races who survived the massive war waged between the humans and the beastmen centuries ago are shielded in the village, unaware of the events of the outside world.
The sanctuary as it is called, was created by Ekidna, the Witch of Greed as a laboratory for her experiments of immortality.
To free the sanctuary from this seclusion Emilia must face the trials of the witch and pass.
While Emilia struggles to complete the trials, Subaru meets Ekidna in her own realm.
Ekidna's spirit is sealed in her tomb, and other witches who were killed by Satella are emulated in her spirit world.
Because Ekidna's realm is shielded from influence of Satella, here Subaru can freely talk about his powers and gain advice from the witches.
Eventually the arc focus on two battles - one back at the mansion as Eliza from the first arc makes a return, sent by someone to kill everyone in the mansion
and the other, battle with Garfiel, a were-tiger boy who guards the Sanctuary.
After several loops Subaru figures out that in order to rush back and defeat Eliza, he must enlist the help of Garfiel who is incredibly strong.
Subaru manages to best Garfiel using his wits, and convince him to join his cause.
Garfiel goes toe to toe with Eliza, evenly matching her. Meanwhile Subaru convinces Beatrice to leave the library and form a contract with him.
Beatrice was created by Ekidna, and appointed to guard the library until she is called upon... which was never going to happen for eternity.
The mastermind behind many of the evil events were revealed to have been Roswaal.
He is madly in love with Ekidna, and for centuries he was looking for a way to revive her.
He has a copy of the Book of Wisdom that partially reveals the future, and knew Subaru had means to overcome these events, although he doesn't know the details of his powers.
Subaru confronts Roswaal for his sins, and after several conflict they come to a truce to work for a common cause.
The arc climaxes at the end as Subaru and Beatrice face the White Rabbit, a monster army that infinitely multiplies and devours everything in its path.
With the Sanctuary freed, the group heads to another one of Roswaal's mansion, now with Garfiel (who now follows Subaru and looks up to him like an older brother) and Otto from arc 3, now an accountant and adviser to the team.
Unbeknownst to them, Ekidna has freed herself from the spirit world by taking over a cloned body of Beatrice's friend, and now freely roams the world.
Subaru's meeting with Satella:
Subaru ends up in a world of darkness and can't see anything and then he accidentally walks right up to the witch after feeling a eerie wind that chills him to the bone. She was standing right in front of the graveyard's entrance but he didn't notice her until she was right in front of him. He is paralyzed and she got that Darth Vader oppressive atmosphere around her. Her silhouette is warped in darkness and her voice is distorted like Phantom from DAL. His initially reaction is OMGWTFBBQ, just from how she shows up right in front of his face and keeps saying "I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU" with overflowing passion - he is the only thing she is concerned with or has interest in. He confirms that time isn't frozen like when he has his usually tryst with her.
While he's frozen like a "frog being glared at by a snake", Garfiel jumps in between them and rescues him. As they run away they could hear "ILOVEYOUILOVEYOUILOVEYOU" slowly approaching while swallowing up everything behind them. She is like a tempest of darkness engulfing the forest behind them, all the trees get torn up while the "ILOVEYOUs" grows louder. Subaru asks what happened to everyone and Garfiel says they all got trapped in the darkness and when he asks about Emilia and why he didn't find her in the graveyard Garfiel is hesitant to reply. The vortex of darkness moves slowly out the forest but as soon as she sees Subaru's figure the mass of darkness gets all excited and flies at him.
Garfiel turns into a tiger and attacks her but gets caught in the air and has his limbs torn off and his torso ripped apart, his intestines scatters everywhere as he screams. All while shadowy Satella is gliding with her arms out toward Subaru as if trying to hug him. Subaru mentions he feels instinctive fear and repulse towards getting hugged by her and would prefer to be eaten by the white whale, poor girl. Ryuuzu clones also get their legs severed by shadowy spear-like tendrils and then their torso skewered and lifted into the air besides the still screaming Garfiel. They tried to do a vegeta final explosion and it worked for a second, the dead world was freed from the darkness but then despite Subaru's hopes he hears "I LOVE YOU!" oh boy.
All while slaughtering everyone she only has eyes for Subaru and repeated confesses her curse-like love while she mercilessly butchers those in between her and Subaru.
Anyways he starts feeling overwhelming anger towards her for killing everyone and gives her the You Suck speech. When she says "I LOVE YOU SUBARU-KUN" he loses it, yelling that he did not give her permission to call him by that name. He is surprised she became silent and docile after he got mad at her and wonders if he is her weak point. He regrets not shouting at her sooner so he could save everyone. She remains quiet and allows him to rake his brains. While he ponders about her weird behavior he mentioned Ekidna's name and she starts her curse-like "I LOVE I LOVE YOU" again, he's like "As soon as I mention another woman's name you get all worked up!". He shouts that both the first place and second place in his heart are already taken long ago and that there's no room for her and how much he HATES HER, seriously I was feeling sorry for the poor girl, all she wanted was a hug . He gets fed up and says how cheap her love is that she must repeat it over and over and how much he despises her and that if he would date a witch he would rather date Ekidna's bunch...smh the world is completely consumed in darkness, Subaru: “--------Oh”.
Satella keeps saying "I LOVE YOU" but he tells her repeatedly to shut up, he feels like he would start to go insane if he's around her any longer. He notices how she appears to love and desire him on the surface but seems to actually want Natsuki Subaru the tool/vessel - basically drowning herself in the concept of love and only desiring a [relationship] with him while treating him like an object. He doesn't understand her at all and when he says "I HATE YOU!" she shuts up and tries to engulf and absorb him so he will spend eternity with her, he doesn't feel confident his willpower and conviction will endure in that state.
Luckily the handkerchief he got from Petora which can apparently transform into a knife started to emit light from him and he remembers its existence. He slashes apart her dress of darkness and it scatters like spider webs, he then stabs at the side of her face and it connects. He is excited but then freezes when the witch's face became visible as the shadowy mask dispersed, it's a silver haired girl he is familiar with. He calls her "Emilia!" several times and asks wtf she was doing here but she is unresponsive. She tries to pull him into her again and he realizes it's hopeless to try and escape her. He stabs his throat with the knife handkerchief and bleeds out. In his dying state and hazy mind he notes that the witch showed a violent reaction to his suicide for the first time, showing another reaction besides her obsessive love for him.
He looks at her and speaks, “Not to the imitation that’s trying to fill in that vessel, but at the girl herself”. While he chokes on his blood he tries cough out his words
“I’ll, definitely----“
----save you.
In the next instant, Natsuki Subaru lost his life.
Theory:
The one confessing their love to Subaru was Emilia's personality the whole time. perhaps the soul or personality of the witch of envy who desires love had fused with Emilia. Subaru notes that she (the black ghost hand that threatens him each time he tries to tell someone about Return by Death) seems a little off from the girl repeating "I love you" so passionately to him. It could be that Satella's jealousy towards the world and desire to destroy it has mixed with Emilia's love for Subaru, however since I'm not sure about Emilia's feelings towards Subaru at this point in arc 4 this is just a guess.

You won't get to know more about her unless arc 4 gets adapted.
Yeah that spoiler is only a small portion of everything you get to know about her.
If they go 25 eps without even explaining details about who Satella actually even is, I'm going to be disappointed and bored. Mystery is cool and all, but not for the entire showing. We need something.

The story is not obligated to explain one of major mysteries overarching right at this moment. If you're gonna be disappointed about that then might as well as start now and get over it. It's because it not happening this season. This arc is about the Witch Cult itself. You already know all need to know about her for now.

It's as Jagd84 said we don't need the mysteries to be revealed now because even in the Web Novels we don't have any solid information about anything so if you're looking for a rushed ending than that's your opinion but what we need now is Kick-Ass-Long-Second-Season.

the anime only covers around 10% of the entire story, you're not gonna get any answers barely out of the prologue. even the web novel, which is on Arc 6, is only halfway done, with a 11 arcs planned.
