just curious to which manga you guys think is better overall.....
please talk about the characters, how likable they are compared to each other, how are they written, how much character development do they get if any...
Which has an overall better plot, setting
Which has better fights battles, which is more enjoyable , which is structured better.
Please answer if you read both mangas and are basically almost caught up to the recent chapters

one piece - more interesting and diverse characters, kingdom - more character developement for all important characters
one piece - better setting/locations, kingdom - better plot & more action
fights are equally interesting I guess, depends on what you prefer.
Kingdom has a more engaging storyline and is arguably structured better, whereas I feel one piece quality has dropped since timeskip, I dont feel that way about kingdom, so I'd have to pick Kingdom as the winner overall ( One piece being in my favorites doesnt matter, its just nostalgia mostly )
i feel the same way about after the timeskip one piece has dropped in quality, but yea i havent really felt that way with kingdom.... so i see where your coming from with that

Okay, I write about this topic alot so I'm going to reuse what I've probably already said about it. I find any discussion about the way One Piece basically repeats itself very interesting.
Kindgom
Well, One Piece is structured a bit differently clearly, structured in that battle shonen kinda way, pretty much all the arcs are structured the same. Though they have different characters and different plots and stuff. You get your story, you get your flashback, you get your antagonist's, you have each of the crew fight them, stuff like that.
But the stories are different, clearly, so I don't think it's fair to say One Piece repeats itself because of the way the story is told as many say.
Kingdom has a better plot maybe, since One Piece's MAIN plot has probably been expanded like 20 chapters?? The potential endgame is referenced like 20 times throughout the story. Dolfamingo's recent speech, Whitebeard's speech, the poneglyphs. In One Piece the NOW is often more important than the later, especially when it comes to any potential ending. Well, I'd say it's hard to say. I think maybe One Piece's plot is better, they both have several different story arcs.
But if we were to combine arcs to the parts especially important to the story and not characters(like Zoro in the first arc), well...it's a short story. The characters story, any character's story. It's about the character's story more often than not. And, y'nkwo, The story is good but almost impossible to separate from the characters apart of it.
Really, I think the thing about these two manga is that they clearly don't have a 20th Century Boy story. Let's compare two wonderful Urasawa manga's, it has tons of different subplots(Kingdom, Monster and OP, although Monster really has "sub characters") and it's main plot is barely even expanded upon(One Piece, Kingdom's main plot is it's character), it's about it's subplots(One Piece) and characters(Monster, OP,Kingdom) really.
20th Century main plot is literally 6 characters, sure, but the way 20th CB and Kingdom focuses on it's plot and the way One Piece does is a bit different.
Monster is another manga that's about it's characters, but notably was hundreds of chapters lesser and didn't have hundreds of characters. 20th Century boy is about it's character and the it's plot, and it's characters are it's most important part, but not only does it only have really one plot(mostly), it really only has one main plot. Aside from the fact the some of the arcs add primary characters to it, and excluding Marineford which led to actual development, Dolfamingo is just as important as Crocodile at the end of the day. There's only really two antagonist that carry especially more weight in Akainu and Blackbeard, especially Blackbeard.
One Piece's setting is infinite and as long as you actually like the arcs you won't have a problem with it being infinite. It's ending should be satisfactory but it's a manga that can lengthen how long that ending is going to be and still have mostly short story arcs. Water 7, Dressrosa, Skypeia are the exceptions and not the rules I'd say. Marineford is cut into three different pieces even if the story is going the same way anyway. And the arcs are very distinct so it's not all going to seem repetitive.
Kingdom's story is just told different, y'know? I think the biggest difference from One Piece and Kingdom, or really just most manga, is that the characters actually develop. And y'know, I like One Piece, moreso than Kingdom maybe, so that's not an insult, but it's characters while vibrant are usually either vibrant, serious or sad and not much more. It's characters have distinct personalities but they don't really change much, with some exceptions.
I don't think that's a bad thing though. But Shin's story is all about growth, the straw-hats really isn't. One Piece has growth, plenty right? But for Luffy's and the straw-hat's substantial growth comes rarely, their main growth was realizing they had to get stronger to protect their friends and achieve their goals but that's about it.
If you like the characters, you'll never really stop liking them though since they don't change much(the story itself changes plenty).
tl;dr : I think the way One Piece tells it's story is different from Kingdom, and they are structured differently, I don't think one is particularly better. I think it's a bit random to compare them, because they are two entirely different things. But One Piece.
Post always look really sloppy when their long because of the white background, but ah well, I think you get the point.
