I also think that Seren was dead . Sinbad once said , that once he had lost a lot of people during the war to build the country .
and Zepar who have moved into Djin of Sinbad .

You have to remember though that Zepar is the djinn of souls and puppetry. Some djinn powers are multi-faceted and have more than 1 use. Im hoping that if she is dead maybe he still has her soul with him and maybe their will be a chance for her to come back to life. My wishful thinking.

Spoiler ahead

She is dead. In the final arc of the Manga "Sinbad no Bouken" she was used as a sacrifice to bring back David during the war between the old Kingdom of Sindria and Parthevia. After the war, Sinbad talked with Serendine's spirit and her Djinn was passed onto Sinbad. Her soul is also within Sinbad.
