For people who have read the manga, is it any good? Like what are your impressions of it. I just want to know other opinions so I can keep my expectations in check for the anime.

I just caught up with it today and yeah it's pretty good. The first episode of the anime adapted an entire volume though so there are some small changes and maybe even more later on.

It's pretty solid, though I read that the anime will go with the original manga ending.

The first episode took a lot of liberties (which was really dumb because of that the drama was pointless) and it'll be 1-cour so you can be sure A-1 will make a original anime ending.

I'm worried about that compression ratio. I skimmed the first six chapters. Rather than trimming the fat, they cut out a lot of the flesh. How many chapters will the manga be when it's finished?

well, I just binged the manga after the first episode ( they adapted a vol. in one episode, they cut some scenes and flashbacks, and changed dialogues ), and I must say that the manga is so damn good.

just to elaborate it, "damn good" in a sense you just can't put it down. It's a page-turner.

They adapt the entire thing. Even the ending of the manga, instead of an original ending.

Its solid but thats that. Its not the masterpiece its being chalked upto be. I'd even call it rather unfocused but since its not complete yet maybe that issue will be fixed by the end (anime might also improve things here with the limited episodes they have to work with)

Its certainly not as good a mystery or as deep dripping with symbolism as everyone is expecting it to be. I read the manga after episode 2 because anime community was exploding with hype but was surprised to see how very simple it turned out to be.

I think they've covered enough in these three episodes and at a stable enough pace for it to be good. It's a great manga.. It doesn't have stuff like symbolism or plot twists around every corner but it's executed really nicely. Its definitely worth reading.
