manga with innocent still strong female lead

Hey
Suggest me manga with an innocent, pure still strong female lead where the guy falls in love first. (no cheating)
It has to have nice art or at least decent art.
I guess I'm searching for a shoujo manga but not necessarly as long as it meets these conditions.

It's not shoujo but you should really check out Battle Angel Alita (GUNNM).
It has probably the best female lead you'll ever see in any manga. Alita starts off as a pure innocent girl and then you see her character grow in this harsh sci-fi/cyberpunk setting while she fights to protect her friends and make a living. Theres also a fair amount of Romance in this manga.
