The reason is because everyone keeps treating him as sub-human or not even human at all!! I need to know if people (at least Louise) will start treating like an actual person! Not just a pet.

It's painful to watch when they do it like that. I get it he was summoned but I'd be damned if I was to be treated less than a creature. He needs to show authority though as its hard to take him seriously right now.

I hope for the best cause reading Light Novels is very boring to me.
I play video games. You should play a video game because you read my signature.

If you haven't already in the past 3 years, keep going! There's actual story progression including how everyone treats Saito later on

I know this is a old post but Saito do stand up for himself, against Guiche for example and even gets kicked out Louise's room.
He gets more submissive later on for obvious reasons, as he also gets treated better. He is in another world and knows nothing with no practical translatable skills.

There's a fine line between standing up for yourself and disobedience than can get you killed. Which Guiche could of and nearly did. You aren't in the modern world; slavery and indentured servitude is the norm, if you value your life, you pick your fights.

He later climbs up the social ladder through various accomplishments. His relationship progress to one that is less abusive and even arguably reversed, where Saito oversteps. Many of those that treated him poorly becomes his closest friends.
It is a wonderful story if you look past all the cliche tropes on the surface. I highly recommend you read the LN as the anime is drastically different by season 2 onwards.
