| I really don't get this trope in manhua. They're trying to cripple or kill, not just in general, but during a moment of abnormal vulnerability, her close friend/love interest. Why do they think she would take this well? The only sane response to them attacking the MC at that moment was for her to want to kill the three of them, permanently. Grudge until death. No person who liked her would ever think what they were doing was a viable way to win her affections. If they were just a bunch of murderous rapists, it'd make sense, but that's not what they're going for here. |
