| Character & People Database Guidelines The following guidelines were written as a reference document for both moderators and general users as a standard for character and people database entries. For the general user, it should provide an idea of which edits/additions will be approved and denied. Please note these have been written as general guidelines only. The site administrator, database administrators and moderators reserve the right to append, remove and change the following rules as they see fit to maintain an orderly and consistent database. You are encouraged to report any entries that do not meet the following criteria here. Section I: Allowed Character Entries & Relations All characters that appear in anime/manga listed in our database are allowed, with the following limitations:
Ex. Yagami Light in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Twins or characters that are always seen together should have separate entries as they are separate entities. Ex. Hansel and Gretel in Black Lagoon Section II: Character Spoilers The character list of an anime or manga is a spoiler in and of itself. While the default pictures and names of characters are visible on the anime/manga page, details of these characters are not. By choosing to click for more detail on a specific character, you are risking spoiling yourself. Please be forewarned.
Section III: Character Pictures
Default pictures: These images are chosen based on quality, which includes (but is not limited to): colouring, sharpness, contrast, brightness, positioning and size. These will be chosen at the discretion of moderators. While you are welcome to request a change, this is a request; please do not always expect it to be approved. Complaining over a picture will result in your requests and posts being ignored. Pornographic images: these include but are not limited to images showing genitalia, nipples, or obvious outlines of both through "clothing". Please place censorship bars (generous in size, preferably white in colour) over any questionable parts of the image. You may not edit these features out, they must be censored. Adult images containing sexual acts will be removed when a more appropriate image is available. Loli/shota hentai images portraying overtly sexual acts will not be tolerated, censored or not. Other loli/shota images containing nudity must be censored severely, covering the entire chest and pelvis area. Sexual objects must not be present on the image. Section IV: People Submissions with the "Reason to Add" field not completed will automatically be denied. People must be related to the anime or manga listed in our database to be added. This means you must be able to add an anime, VA, or manga role to all people in the database. In addition to this, the following people will not be accepted:

| Non-anime/manga roles will not be included in People entries. Please note the following when submitting edits: + Do not add any person roles, including drama/game/CD/etc., in Other Info. Edit: December 19, 2011 Clarified user edits to character picture submissions. * No edited images (ie: vectors, fan colourings) vectors or fan colourings, unless no other image is available. Minor edits such as cropping and rendering extracting are fine. Edit: March 24, 2014 Clarified picture dimension preference for people images. Please note the following when submitting edits: + 225x350 pixel dimensions pictures preferred. |
