| For airing anime, there should be an indicator how many episodes that currently aired. The same also should be applied to manga, like how many chapters and volumes that already out (obviously in Japan). It's kinda a hassle that I have to look in other sites to know those. |
| You know there is an Episode tab on every entry, right? The current episode count as well as the dates of airing for every episode are shown right there. So you can see the most recently aired one no problem (assuming it's updated that is) http://myanimelist.net/anime/28297/Ore_Monogatari%21%21/episode Like that for example |

The link is at the bottom of every page, and AniDB entries have links to respective MAL pages, too, so navigating forth and back isn't much of a hassle (except that AniDB hides MAL links under "More" spoiler, so I have to make an extra click, but I have gotten used to it) |

Also like EvenJellyOn said it usually isn't really updated, maybe because there's too much work to do. |
| Indeed, I see nothing wrong with having "Episodes 13 / 24" in the Information section. For manga it'd be a bit trick but it could easily be done for most anime (obviously there are some which aren't updated right away because they aren't as popular but it's not like this feature is going to break them, just copy the information on the the Episodes section to the Information section if it's available). |
