| Has there ever been a skatebording anime? i know there is that anime called Air Gear, but it isnt just skateboarding, Skateboarding has been my longest hobby (followed up by competitive Super Smash Bros Melee :P) for many years and have noticed how huge and popular of a sport it in the US and outside i believe. I dont know how popular it is in Japan, because i dont live there or visited. However, with all these less popular sports like volleyball and bike racing, i find it crazy that there has never been an anime about skateboarding. I would love to watch one, especially if it had a story that can capture the what it really means to be a skater. Not a dumb punk who breaks laws lol. A real skater who enjoys the freedom of riding a skateboard and the satisfaction of landing a trick that youve been trying for months on end. A drawback might be that an anime like this might not work well with multiple characters, due to the nature of the sport. Skateboarding is a solo sport, therefore team effort is non existant, its all about yourself and surpassing your limits. On the other hand, this could lead to an interesting plot with rivalries during competitions where you have to land the best tricks and as a perfect as possible. If anyone knows of a skateboarding anime, i would love to know! | If ever there will I doubt it's gonna be the main focus and will just fall into a slice of life type anime where it just focuses on characters and their interactions. Skateboarding will probably just become a hobby for the MC. |

| Bro I know what mean and I skate too. But unfortunately i don't think there's an anime about skateboarding. It would be interesting to watch an anime like that because I might be able to connect with the characters more. Also like you said about having a story that can capture the what it really means to be a skater would be great because I feel like most people have the wrong impressions on skaters. Hopefully one will be made someday. |
