could you please provide a clear explanation of how the anime ended?

I know many of us are still confused but are the feelings of Eita true? What about Masuzu and her confession? They ended up as a real couple? Or was it just a fake relationship, sad moment (at the contest) and fake confession?

I agree, its quite confusing in how it ended. Basically, Eita confessed, then Masuza confessed but its still unclear if they are a real couple. To add, the relationship between the others are even better than before so, I don't really know whats going on as well.

From what I remember, at the end of the show they both realize that in the time they've been pretending to be in love, they actually did fall in love by accident. So they end their fake relationship and begin a real one.

Yeah, that's what happened. Eita was just trying to get the other girls to give up on him since he's with Masuzu now for real and not fake anymore. His talk with the other girls backfired and they are even more determined to win him over (at this point they really have lost, he already chose a girl. To make moves on him now would be really jerkish just like what Chiwa did at the end).

Yeah they become a real couple in the end i guess.
However this is the anime ending,
in the light novel however things are different
