When it comes to a new anime series, do you watch it weekly or do you wait until its over to just binge it? I kinda do both, I will watch weekly for a bit and then let some episodes build and binge those episodes. How about everyone else?

Usually end up watching most of them weekly, though there's some shows I miss that I binge at the end of the season. Also the case where I completely forget about the show half-way and watch everything in one go later. :P

If it is a sequel that is over 20 episodes, like Log Horizon 2, I will let it wait until it has finished airing. Besides that, I watch everything else weekly, my list is a main example that I basically have been keeping up with every one this anime season. :D

I used to binge-watch a bunch of old anime like Code Geass or Fate/Zero, but once I caught up with everyone on a lot of the big name animes, I began to watch the new titles that showed up every season in anticipation of a continuance from an previous series or a new gem to be preserved. In turn, I have shifted from binge watching to mainly watching the new releases weekly, but I will often binge watch old anime in concurrency with my weekly viewings.

When new season starting and some shows looks nice (always chcecking zana charts before new season) I wait for few episodes to be out and then watch it. If show is as good or better then expected I watch weekly if not I skip it (first episode is critical :) Isuca for ex. had nice description but show's first episode was like what the heell?) if show is still good but not so great as expected I watch it after it ends or before very last episode is aired.

I binge. I'm too impatient to wait for a new episode every week, so I try to forget that the anime exists and then once the season is over I go crazy.

That is, if I am going to have time. If I'm busy with college and stuff I stream an episode or two online and then go bitch about how waiting for a week more is killing me.

I watch binge. I don't like to wait for the new episodes and mostly I watch some older Anime so the series has finished airing. ^^

I purely binge, I dislike waiting every week for just a single episode. Not only that, but with shows that are heavily story based it's killer having to wait every week on a cliffhanger and not getting to watch the story unfold all at once like you get when you binge. I just want to see what happens right now!

I guess I don't really count that much though because I almost completely avoid airing anime as I'm still watching everything that's been very popular in the last decade, trying to catch up I suppose.

I used to binge everything. Can't really take it anymore with 24 episode series and everything, but it also sucks starting a bunch of shows at the beginning of the season that have potential but end up falling apart a few episodes later (see Captain Earth, Rolling Girls). This time I waited until week 8, read a few of my favorite anime blogs' judgments, and decided to binge 8 episodes of every good show before keeping up for the rest of spring. Probably going back to watching seasonal from the start this summer just because I can. When I watch older shows I like doing 3-8 episodes a day (unless I get in a roll like with Shirobako and I wanna just finish it).

I like to be able to watch multiple episodes in a row, so I tend to not follow still airing Animes.

I agree with you TrashDax I prefer to be able to watch multiple episodes instead of waiting a week for just one episode especially if it's an amazing anime like Oregairu but when they air an episode I must watch it but after I finish it I get depressed cause I have to wait another week for the next episode

So pretty much watching animes that are still airing is like being in HELL!!!!!

I do both. I let the weekly shows build up and watch that week's shows. During the rest of the week as my queue fills up I watch a full series or two or three if their short single season series.
My love of anime is not an obsession. It's a need to have a content life.

I used to do both...but then it got hard trying to watch 5 to 8 different new anime per season so now I just wait for the shows to be done airing and marathon them. ^_^

I do both if a show is already out, I most likely will binge, but I still watch weekly episodes.

I binge weekly :P
Actually, for those anime that I don't have time to follow I'll binge them at some point.

Back on Netflix, yes, I binged alot... the series on there were always complete. I still binge more than going week by week, but many of the popular series are ongoing and span to about 12 episodes each, so I have grown limited in binging when caught up on a series.

Well, if it's a new seasonal series i'll choose to watch it weekly since i can discuss everything per episode.. But for the long runner ones, i guess it would be better to binge watch them, mainly because of their slow pace..
