| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya II: I really like Sasaki. He thoughts are not revolutionary, but is what you would expect from a young person who has an intellectual gift. What I enjoyed most was that first thing she discussed with Kyon was about change. Her appearance looks like it will also mark a major change in the series. I do hope this proves to be true, and her character can add more depth to the story. At the least, it looks like she will be a good foil for Haruhi. |
| So Haruhi is jealous of Sasaki, but why? Is it because she is jealous of Kyon as a boy or because, as Koizumi later suggested, she felt some sort of jealousy towards having "close friends" from middle school? She doesn't really talks about her past aside from what she told Kyon back at the beginning of the series. Now we have finally entered the second year and I hope there's gonna be something to shake things up. After The Disappearance the only thing that really got me interested were that guy who was interested in Nagato and the whole Michiru thing. I wonder if a new member, or at least a new character for the cast, is going to show up? Maybe Sasaki is going to be more involved into the plot? Only 4 volumes to go. |
