| I assume by "strong" you mean a strong screen-presence or character as opposed to physically strong and by weak MC, you means a somewhat unintrusive male POV character. Most of these girls are physically stronger than their love interests, too, though. Crest of the Stars fits the bill and is downright awesome. Shakugan no Shana - not nearly as awesome but worth a try Hakomari - there is a reason this is one of the top two light novels |

| +1 Shana (You'll need to watch all the seasons to extract any real romance out of it, though). Rosario to Vampire also in your PTW. Typical weak male, fan service harem title but the female is boss-strong. Toradora He's not physically weak but he's a total chicken at confessing and almost too mild mannered. Strong romance. Good graphics 2008/2009. And, well, anybody watching romances needs to give this one a go anyway and it happens to not be on any of your lists. Okami-San and Her Seven Companions He's perceived to be weak but has hidden skills that are only recognized/revealed later on. As far as romance goes he confesses to her right at the beginning but it takes the rest of the episodes for her to slowly warm to him. Weak romance. Good graphics 2010. Witch Craft Works This is more of a strong female protecting weak guy story and the romance is only hinted at mainly because they are practically inseparable throughout (so it's always in the back of your mind). Very weak romance (does she? does he?). Very good graphics 2014. Witch Craft Works is like a sillier, shorter version of Shakugan no Shana: two factions fighting over a piece of meat. Watch Shana first and if you want more then try Witch Craft Works (at least the graphics are newer). |
