| If we use Kyo's hair as a reference of "violet", it might be easier to define the color of Kotomi's hair. Spoiler hides the original game character images. But Kyoto animation made Kyo's hair more bluish compared to Key's original character setting. This may cause the confusion. |

How will you do that when she isn´t on the list anyway.... XD |

| @chii: you can say that again, I can´t wait for her figure to be released ^_^ *anime & manga figure collector; small collection till now though* Back to topic: Since I´m now in the team too, I´d like to explain my "analyse pattern", so that user (and of course the colleagues ^_^) can better understand how I judge the colors. Since the pictues from M.A.L aren´t that good, I´m going through following steps: 1. if picture from M.A.L. is enough to confirm blue, *approved* 2. if step 1 isn´t enough, I´ll try to have a look in my own collection. If the figure is in a anime/manga I possess and the color is clearly blue, *approved* 3. if step 2 still isn´t enough or not possible (c´mon, I don´t own THAT much^^), I´ll look at scans on minitokyo.net. If I can confirm on a few scans that there are blue haired version of the figure too, *approved* Note: I don´t count fan-vectors, it has to be a scan or a wallpaper with a clear image. 4. if even step 3 can´t clearly help because the color is still not clear (haircolor between blue/purple or something like that) I have a look with Photoshop and "extract" the color. This step can follow after everyone of the others when I feel like it, though. Of course, I only go through that pattern if it really could be blue, when it´s more than sure red or anything like that, I only bother confirming when you can tell my WHY it´s clearly red in that case. For example, there are cases like Yue/Nodoka from "Mahou Sensei Negima!" where the colors got traded in the new season (depending on season, one of them has blue hair, the other girl purple). If you say in advance that something like that is the case, of course I´ll investigate a bit more^^ You see I´m trying to do that as fair as possible^^ But in the end, I needed longer to type that down than I would need to check, thats a matter of 5-10 minutes, depending on how much I have to investigate. But of course that is just how I check that out, last decision comes from the complete team and of course, from our members, a.k.a YOU^^ |

| How in the world does Akane Tendo (Ranma ½) have blue hair? Is that a later phenomenon? Same question with Keiichi Morisato (Ah My Goddess). I've seen both the OAV and TV series with specials; he has black hair as far as I can see. About the only person close to blue would be Lind with her purplish hair. I'm not sure how her character picture makes it look green but Kiyone from the Tenchi Muyo series has that turquoise hair color; would that count as blue? |
| Thanks for the suggestions^^ Akane Tendo: She is one of the special cases that has black hair on manga artworks but blue hair in the anime. | I'm abit confused about Subaru she mostly appears in the anime with torquoise coloured hair, but at some points she has a darker shade of blue. And on a side note the character who plays Subaru (for those who don't know about the .Hack series, the characters are set in a mmorpg world, so they have people playing them behind the screen) has dark blue hair, but pity she's not on the mal character list, or atleast a picture of her under Subaru. |

| She is indeed one of the troublesome cases, turquise can be seen as blue or green depending on the individual. Pictures of scan/wallpaper pages like minitokyo weren´t really clear either. I leave it to the members to decide that, as always^^ |

| Royal purple should stop being considered dark blue. ~_~ Like Kotomi, Saeko, Shampoo. Because that just isn't anything else than royal purple.
