I just dislike most of the characters designs and the implication of Magic in their verse. What is the limit of Magic and what are the rules? How much variety of Magic is there?

It's explained rather profoundly in side materials and the like, though if you don't want to bother acquiring those directly it's pretty easy to just google it. http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Magecraft

I don't think that it should be necessary to read a wiki or go to side materials to understand something in the main universe. I'll give it a read later though

The Vn kinda explains magic in a more compact way.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

That's because you shouldn't have to, it's just bad writing if you have to read a fictional history book.

That's why there's also several VN & light novels

When people already complain about the exposition, why add more magical exploration in a series where it is not overly relevant?
There is in fact a lot more in the VN, but the cuts weren't really a terrible decision, some of it is random exposition about magic that isn't really necessary.

Though they did cut out a some of the actually relevant one's in the anime, though, while leaving in some less than important scenes. I assume and hope the BD's will fix this.

People can only properly criticize his writing if they have read his stuff. To be fair the bit of knk I read weren't that good in my opinion.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

To be fair. For me this is one of the reasons that makes the Nasuverse interesting, once you have learnt the background knowledge of the Nasuverse (Magecraft and the root etc.), it makes any future works that will be adapted/ or created to be easier to understand. In the end, I would be fully enjoying his works while most people will be complaining about the info-dump.

Second thing is that I believe Nasu intends for most of his work to be set in the same universe (Nasuverse), it would be tiresome to keep on repeating the same concepts over and over again after each new work. (though it does take him at least 5 years to create a new work) That's is what the side material is for, to unify all the concepts in the nasuverse together.

This is purely my own opinion and if you do insist it's just bad writing (which I will not deny since I do believe only his background information is brilliant) then please disregard my opinion, and whatever the case I think that investing couple of hours on the type-moon wikia is much more worth while than learning whatever information the world of long running series such as Naruto and Bleach has to offer.
I will prove to you that I am the supreme ruler of Heaven! Maoh Shakumesujin!
