| One of the most under-appreciated qualities of this series is the back-story which the anime sadly didn't give much attention to. Most of the characters in School Days are actually descendants from 0verflow's older visual novel games, and a lot of them are products of incest & related to one another. The 0verflow family tree (which is canon), tells the whole story, and it's about as disturbing as it gets: http://i.4cdn.org/h/1414408813984.jpg To summarize: -Makoto's father (Tomaru Sawagoe) is also Taisuke's grandfather, Sekai's Grandfather & Setsuna's Grandfather AND Great Grandfather. -Sekai & Setsuna are half sisters, sharing the same father (Shun Hazama). -Makoto's father, Tomaru Sawagoe, has impregnated 30+ women and has over 50 children, many of which he continues to impregnate (he's also a pedophile). There's one line that illustrates he's impregnated 5 consecutive generations (daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, great great granddaughter, great great grandaughter) and one of them died during childbirth because she was too young to conceive. -Taisuke was actually in one of the earlier games called Pure Mail, where he appeared as a side-character, and was raped by his sister's boyfriend (Kei Ogata), who mistook him for her sister. When you consider all that, the events of School Days make sense! If anything, it should've been more disturbing. |

| but to be honest is that if you check carefully the 0verflow family chart from Makoto's father to the other families he fathered, the only normal families you can consider is the Itou household and the Katsura household... since no one from the Itou family actually did incest and from the Katsura family no one is related to the other families... |
