| That's sort of the case, though there are some characters from the previous seasons who have grown and are still in this one. Judging from the first episode of this series, they didn't explain how to play Vanguard at all unlike the start of the other series. Hence, if you don't know how to play, it'll likely be sort of confusing when they Cardfight. Plot-wise, I believe you should be fine just starting this, though it definitely would make more sense if you were to start from the beginning. |

| I have to say that the first episode of G didn't do a good job of explaining Vanguard. I'd recommend you watch the previous seasons if you want a better understanding of the gameplay. If not at least watch the first episodes of each season. |

| You kinda can, but you should watch the original series. It explained gameplay mechanics much more clearly. |

| At least watch the first series to learn the game mechanics and terminology. As Vangarud G just shows you the battles without explaining any of its effects etc. |
| G is just shamless battles with no actual care, becuase the writes are not explaning what do they effects even do |
