Start from the very beginning as Deep Blood arc and Angel Fall arc were totally butchered in the anime.
If you really don't want to, first season covered up to volume 6, minus one chapter from volume 5 which is covered in the second season. At least read the epilogue of volume 6 before continuing to read the novels.

I think it is fine... They adapted it quite faithfully. There is a little detail here and there, but that's just a matter of "more knowledge" than impact on the plot.

Something like future speculation matters or so.

I might be a little late with this, decided to start from the beginning just to get the info and I feel like the first novel had a lot more info that hte anime wasn't able to get in. There were definatly hints towards future volumes in the first and I thought it was pretty good becuase it gave a much clearer setting than the anime ever did for me.

As for science, it may be negative.
However, do not forget the thing that there is a scientific side in all the one.
The important one is true.
Of me the ruler of my fate, and me also the commander of my soul.

damn took me 5 months to catch up on all the volumes and wow. crazy adventure. Def became my 2nd favorite series and Touma best MC ever. The 3 MC developed wonderful and each volume just got better and crazier. 10/10
