| Post here any problems with Anime recognition, like.. if malu says the file you are playing is not in your list (but it is), or it thinks it's a different Anime. If you have renamed the original filename from the subbers, DO NOT post it here, only post original filenames and their Anime relation. There aren't many cases where it fails, mostly some second seasons, ovas, movies and non-english subs (specially french), but I aim to perfect the engine even more with some of your feedback. Post it like: filename / url to its Anime relation If more files of the same series fail like... xxx 01, xxx 02.. post them all. You can also post RAWs with their original jp name with kanjis etc. |

| I can't remember the exact files. But a lot of the time when a group releases a version 2 it has v2 in the name and messes up the recognition. |

| When I play those files listed above (OVAs named as episodes 14-16), a little popup balloon tells me 'Baccano' is not in my anime list (which it most definitely is) Conversely, using malupdater's 'play current episode' or 'play next episode' feature on the Baccano! OVA returns a file not found message |

| I have a problem with One piece. If I do a scan for new episode or just double-click on the name to start the episode, MAL updater don't find it. It's weird because if I start the episode manually, it'll recognize it. The episodes are in the same folder where I usually put my anime. |

As far as I know, MAL Updater just ignores what's inside brackets or parantheses, then cleans up the remaining part and looks it up to find a match from user's list. What I suggest is to write a new function to evaluate the text between brackets, which will result in something like this:  It won't be too difficult as you are already using some keywords in the cleanup process. Whatever's not in the keyword list is most probably the fansub group name. My second advice is to let users manually add new alternative titles and store them locally. Naturally not all the titles that are used by fansub groups are registered at MAL and this seems to be the best solution for it. You can also collect these new titles and store them on your own server. Then you can share the most common titles with MAL, which would both benefit other MAL Updater users and MAL itself. |

| Every Major episode after the first season is not recognized properly. It really has to do with how they are separate seasons but they continue to be numbered from 1 - 122 instead of s1 (1-26), s2 (1-26), etc. So for example: [MJN] Major - 27 [5270DEC1].avi = Episode 1 of Major Season 2 http://myanimelist.net/anime/558/Major_S2 [MJN] Major - 53 [48908CB0].avi = Episode 1 of Major Season 3 http://myanimelist.net/anime/1842/Major_S3 [MJN] Major - 079 [HD][h264-AAC][A6EFA62C].mp4 = Episode 1 of Major Season 4 http://myanimelist.net/anime/3226/Major_S4 [MJN]_Major_-_105_[HD][h264-AAC][B0981D72].mp4 = Episode 1 of Major Season 5 http://myanimelist.net/anime/5028/Major_S5 I would continue to list all the numbers in between but I do not have the time right now to list all 122. | It doesn't seem to recongnize any RMVB container files, is it possible to make it recongnize them? Since most Chinese subs use RMVB container. Their naming scheme is super similar to English so there's not a lot of problems there. |

| I often find it tries to match my mp3's to anime, any chance of making it ignore audio files? Also, why not add a report button, that allows users to flag up invalid matches in the program (keep in mind that although you could allow the user to link or designate the correct anime, you'd loose a lot of reports if you forced the user to supply a match). Also, I'd suggest using a form submission, a lot of people wont have a mail client set up on the computer, a lot of users use webmail. |

| Not sure if this has anything to do with a recognition problem, but: I use the option 'Use only MAL ID tags'. And when I have a file with, in the MAL ID tag, episode one (example: [MID#5204#1#]) and the file name would be Kara no Kyoukai 6 - Boukyaku Rokuon, MALU sais there is one new episode that I can watch. That is episode 1 (Which would be right, since the MID = 1). However, when I try to play that episode. MALU sais Not Found/Old files. This is proberly because of the 6 in Kara no Kyoukai 6. Is this a Recognition problem, or does this have to do with PlayNext? Also, when I open the file Manually, it just updates normally. |

| mp3's in media player classic, its my default media player for all media. I use itunes for managing my media and making playlists and playing random songs, but if I really want to listen to an album, i'll load media player classic and use ffdshow to get decent sounding music on my 5.1 system. |

| When I use the Play Next button to open the 9th episode of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2, it opens the 9th episode of Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka instead: [Eclipse] Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka - 09 (1024x576 h264) [22A08001].mkv If I open the Haruhi episode manually, it's recognized correctly, and the same goes for the Akane episode, the only problem is with the "Play Next" button and the "Play Episode #" option, and only happens with episode 9. |

| Basically, when I watch Chinese subs, they use the format [SUB][ANIMETITLE][EP#][other stuff] I have to manually change to [sub]_animetitle_ep#_[others] for it to recognise. |
