Somewhat i guess, being big into anime past your 40s is fine as long as you keep your power level down(Anime Blue-Ray's Poster wallpaper and Figure), you can you still enjoy anime all you want but just don't be weird about and that goes for anything in life it's fine to still enjoy anime yes, but think about how much you want to show it off i feel like people its much better to discuss it with others online.

Age is just a number.

There is no age limit to liking a medium entertainment.
You can still like anime when you're in retirement age (60-100 yrs ++).

It has nothing to do with age. Some people are consumed by their anger, and their hearts have hardened. Others have been abused at a job they'ved worked for 30 years until they die on the inside and have no place for joy in their lives. A few are graduate students who are so desperate to pay off student loans that they spend 80 hours a week working at a university and have no time or energy for anime or any other fun thing.

If we continue to invite these poor lost souls to watch our favorite anime and read our favorite manga, we may be able to save one or two and show them that: This is the Way.

If it's just normal anime consumption then no, not at all. infact a lot of shows such as slice of lives and things such as sazae-san that air in japan are aired at all ages and such.
although if it's something completely degenerate such as a 50 year old man with a loli pfp and a user like "loli savage" then that's major red flags

i can imagine i'd get tired of it years and years later, sick of the same tropes and such etc etc but i'll stick around for as long as i can who knows about others
mmm yummy visuakl kei munch crunch munch chomp

No of course not.

There are adults who still watch Pixar movies and enjoy them. If an adult can be hyped for the upcoming spiderverse movie then he can watch anime. Both are animation and the only difference is the country they’re produced in.

Besides, anime has the seinen genre which is pretty much geared towards adults.

we don't care, watch any form of media if it's the only entertainment you have.

I've been thinking and I don't think I personally know anyone over 40 who likes anime, do people stop liking it at a certain age at some point in life? How old is the oldest person who likes anime that you know, and do you think you'll like it forever?

not counting the Japanese of course.
Personally i dont think there is an age limit to liking anything let alone anime. I think you are overthinking it and if people are giving you are hard time about it tell then to shove it. Nobody should control your hobbies.

16 years old is the limit, after that, you should seek professional help.

I'd go as far as to say that even at 14 years old one should have the mental capacity to understand that anime is too juvenile for anyone above your age, let alone 16 y/o. If someone older than the age of 18 is still watching anime they deserve all the ridicule in the world.

As one of the many 60+ year olds on this site who still enjoy watching anime, all I gotta say is you're never to old to enjoy it. I would say something else to anyone who believes otherwise, but I try to be polite for the most part.

There is not. Anyone who says differently is a close-minded idiot and needs to mind their own fucking business.
If you disagree with any thoughts or opinions expressed in the above post, you're wrong and I hate you forever!

I'm in my mid twenties and I barely watch any anime anymore. I feel like I've seen everything anime has to offer at this point.Trust me kids this is just a phase that'll you'll grow out of.

Rather than that people stop liking anime, I think that alot of people who are now 40+ weren't exposed to anime or Japanese culture as much when they grew up, so they had no reason to get into medium as they grew older.

Not at all. There are so many types of anime that there is basically at least one for everyone. In fact one of my moms is getting into anime right now and she's 64.
