Great choice of a protagonist. MHA really does give the side characters a decent scope for development.

Deku may be the only MC to be less interesting than his own side characters. You can't help but dislike Deku when Bakugo is more interesting, Todoroki (and holy shit I hate his guts) is more interesting, Tomura is... well not that much more interesting but he gets there. And I've barely scrapped the surface when it comes to characters who had their moments and became a lot better than Deku.

You just can't like a main characters who gets overshadowed by half of the cast, especially in a show as character heavy as MHA is.
