There is only one instance in which a sexual act was necessary (and it wasn't shown at all in the show). I'm saying all of this, knowing that the source material supposedly takes it much further in terms of the details in what actually happens (The show was apparently the toned down version). Now I get this is likely the original vision of the author...I'm just stating my opinion. |

| Hmmm ok let's answer the thread I did drop it after episode 8, yes it was because of the yaoi, like on episode 4 i saw this coming but i thought they would be like ''Lets ignore the rules'', and after all the fact that Maria and Saki would kiss just blow off my mind, but really the BL scene turn me down so much, i felt really disgusting, i'm reading this thread for while now and there was a post like: ''If you saw two guys kissing would you quit from life?'', well my anwer is that I would get the hell away from there and was what i did with the anime, you now is really bad watch an anime afraid of a scene, like I'm watching and i got to look out for BL, i don't like and I'm not going to watch. | I don't understand at all how somebody could drop this just because of the yaoi/yuri stuff. I mean it's not even a MAJOR part of the show. It's so easy to ignore if you don't like it/find it uncomfortable and you're missing out on a pretty good anime because you're not even trying to understand the reasons behind it and how it fits with the story. And it does make you a homophobe since the word implies that you fear homosexuals rather actively hate them. |

There is something called a fast forward or "skip" button. What annoys people is when you classify an anime as yaoi because of a short scene lasting barely a minute in total when it's nothing like that, and then proceed to make a spectacle of it. Get over it....I'm not shitting on anyone's opinions, but believe me when you try to make a show out of your opinion...yeah you're going to have people comment on it one way or another. |

| No offense, but really anyone that dropped this anime due to what happened in episode 8 is losing out. Shinsekai Yori was BY FAR the best anime I watched in 2012. Seriously, THAT is what it takes to turn you off from watching a series? Here, maybe this will help you get past that. After watching that episode, try watching something like Begotten or A Serbian Film. Then, come back and watch it. You'll be so desensitized that you'll probably give up your "eeew, gays kissing" thought process. |

Because OP is obviously hinting that the reason people would drop after ep 8 is due to the yaoi/yuri content that showed up in this episode. Here let me help you if you're having problems.
