Somehow I knew that guy was one of Afro’s childhood buddies, not only do I get an awesome fight but as a bonus I get a backstory and honestly I didn't think Afro’s mentor would be the one who holds the No 2 headband and also to note he shares the same voice as the CGI Clone Wars version of Mace Windu, Terrence C Carlson, to some he is Kratos in God of War but I swear every time the Swordmaster talked to the children I had the mental image of Mace Windu teaching younglings the ways of the force sort of thing. That's just me though. XD

Just to add to the voice acting meta if you will, I just love that we have Yuri Lowenthal playing Jinno in this and we have a character literally called Sasuke in this. And I just couldn't help but make the Naruto connections this had unintentionally led me to. Just saying.

Anyways that aside, the actual backstory was pretty tragic itself, it did give me very sort of Darth Vader vibes from the fact that Jinno is part cybernetic and that you can also hear him breathing heavily at times. Just to bring it full circle with the Star Wars parallels. Though I do think Jinno was being a bit overdramatic about everyone he knew dying at Afro’s hands, I mean I can understand the Swordmaster dying at Afro’s hands because he SAW it happen but everyone else? Come on dude, you're going to blame those on him? Granted there was a lot going on and the revenge thing probably made him mad but come on his friends got slaughtered by the thugs that attacked them not Afro.

So Ninja Ninja was nothing more than a part of Afro’s mind and that's the last we see of him. A shame, I quite liked him as a character. Combine the episode with the awesome fight and backstory and you get probably one of the best episodes in this show altogether. Neat episode overall.
