Technically back in the 1990's, as a VHS rental from Blockbuster. For certain not the first anime I had ever seen.

I do believe I started around the age of 7-9; I can't remember which one. One of my first anime that I watched via rentals. ^_^

Another latecomer here in terms of discovering Slayers. First saw it back in 2006 when I was about 17 or 18. I'd just finshed the Ruin Explorers OVA and was on the lookout for something similar, but obviously longer and more satisfying. After a bit of searching, some site (pretty sure it woudln't have been MAL) recommended Slayers and I bought the first season on DVD. Easily one of the best blind-buys I've ever made, because it's been a firm favourite ever since!

I purchased VHS volume 3 of Season 1 back around...1998? I was 13. Kind of a funny place to start, I know, but I didn't know any better. I had just discovered anime thanks to a local access TV channel and went to the local Suncoast video store with my parents to spend up my allowance and after reading the backs of many, many other shows I decided in the end to go with Slayers since it seemed the most interesting.

Needless to say it has been a long and fun relationship that's not bound to end any time soon. The complete collection of Revolution is out next month and I'm super, super excited for that.

I still got the Software Sculptors LD's (and the DVD boxes too) when the first series came out; though saw the first fansub VHS tapes around 96' I think?

Just finally finished watching Evolution -R and was satisfied despite all the flak the recent series seem to get from the newer (and younger/impatient) fans that haven't taken the time to see the previous series to fully appreciate so many questions that E-R finally answers.

Hopefully Galvayra will show back up in future series, I think that was the coolest weapon of them all.

it was my third anime :) i bought a new mp4 and it had songs and videos inside. Slayers nest japanese version unsubbed episode 2. i watched it when i was 11.

i officially started this anime at 12 during september, i think. favorite anime untill now.

when i was 10, i bought a new mp4 in China, and for some reasons, there were already songs and videos in it. Thats where i watched my first Slayers episode in japanese without subs. I am pretty sure it was the 2nd episode of Slayers next.
one year has passed when i started to watch officially the serie.:)

My first time was in summer of 2006. I started at the 2nd half of season 1. I remember watching it and liked it so much I watched Next on Anime Network on Demand. I never got to finish it until last year thanks to Funimation's website.

Oh man, it must have been around 10 years ago, around the same time as the DBZ era.

I believe I was 8 or 9 and I used to borrow a DVD (about 6 episodes) every month or 2 from my mom's friend and would constantly re-watch the episodes until I got the next one. I must've watched each episode of season 1 and 2 over 10-20 times.
