@deg ‘23 and ‘24 were roughly the same. Looks like ‘20 and ‘21 were the peak and the numbers were already declining in ‘22 and finally stabilized in ‘23 and ‘24.

How is "users browsing forums" even determined? It would be more clear if they added "users browsing forums within the last hour" or something like that.

I noticed some users stopped being active after the new mods arrived, I guess they got silenced.

@deg I think merve already stopped before, but other edgelords like joechip and myzic stopped afterwards.

Sadly forums are just a thing of the past at this point. I know one of my old favorite forums Gamefaqs would always have a few thousand active users and now it's down to a few hundred. Even discussion on /a/ is pretty lackluster these days. Everyone just goes on reddit for any kind of anime discussion these days.

@Toadfan64 i recently try to post on 4chan /a/ and there is now a captcha lol wtf and i cannot solve it too so really that will kill the activity there

@deg That's probably to increase security after 4chan got hacked in April this year.

@deg Really? Are you on mobile or something? The captcha has a slider you gotta align to make it spell out the letters properly. At least that's how it is for me.

@deg Kinda understandable since that's usually around the slowest time. I assume (maybe wrongly?) that most people here are Americans and Europeans and when you made the post it was 05:00 in the morning on the east coast, 02:00 on the west coast, and 10:00 in the morning in Britain. Far from the times where you'd usually see a lot of activity

@deg @Zarutaku I'm back for a little bit to get tips on how I'm supposed to not insult people and and see if I can make something work out, otherwise yeah I'm going back to not posting. I got banned only for a week but I was not posting anymore on my own accord.

@Lentus1 its the same with kittencuddler she got recently banned i heard from insulting bigots, just gonna avoid insulting words, my first ban here was using the word b*tch on some thread harrasser here in the forums

@deg I merely said something like "being trans is not popular nowadays" to a transgender user, I guess I shouldn't have said that, but I genuinely didn't think it'd be considered an insult by mods and get me banned for a week for it. I don't even know if something mild I say turns out to get me banned or not.
