what arc do you think one piece started getting really good?

I had high expectations for Arlong park and I felt like they were met. Looking back the East Blue saga is underrated tho (especially Baratie).

Most people get pretty into it after like 30 eps or so, so my experience is a little weird. I enjoyed watching OP well enough in the beginning to continue watching it, but I didn't get hooked until like 125 episodes in, a little over halfway through Skypiea. Wild that I had to watch that many episodes until I really started to like it, but it's different for everyone. After Dressrosa I really started to see just how deep the series was going to get into larger arcs, and I've since dropped the anime in favor of the manga for better pacing. I'm still on the train about to start Whole Cake soon!
