Why there're so many Useless Protagonists ?!

They're meant to be a one size fits all, someone you can see yourself in their shoes, at least for the most part. There's also some shows where there's a character introduced as the protagonist and they sort of need to be there for the anime to happen, but most of the events aren't particularly altered by their presence, making them not much of a protagonist.

because sometimes the protagonists sole purpose for existing is to be relatable to the people consuming the anime. that's why its so common in isekai. "a normal boring person just like you got transferred to a cool and interesting fantasy world!" sells really well in japan apparently. its grade A escapism. sometimes its fun to turn off your real life brain and mentally project yourself into a fun stupid anime. of course its also good to have good character writing. both seem to be enjoyed for their respective reasons.
