| I like both shows but I don't like the idea of a separate season receiving all the spotlight. If we had SnK full adaptation with 70+ episodes including not aired and not even written in the manga yet, like really full adaptation from the beginning to end, then there would be a point in comparing and deciding what deserves what. But as it is, I don't see FMAB going anywhere from that spot anytime soon, if ever. |
| We all know that MAL ranking tops are a joke. But SnK really deserves the praise it got recently (Mostly because how it has been evolving lately) It is definitely not as good as FMAB, SnK is good, but not THAT good. Edit: Just wait until SnK ends, score is going to increase and then decrease. My guess its that its probably going to get around 8.75 - 9-00 |

| Oh no, you're favorite anime isn't in the #1 spot on this site? Just saying, a lot of people's favorite anime isn't even in the top 100's and they don't make threads about. Rating and score doesn't really matter anyway. |

But it's not. Because I watch Gintama, and I know the new last season wasn't as good as 2015, or even close. Gintama just got a jackpot at 2015, and that's reasonable. I'm simply just going off of my observation. Back when Owari 2 was airing it was very high up and had a lot of people giving it 1's. When you looked at the giant report illegitimate account thread it had posts by people listing all the upvote/downvote accounts. Many of them were Gintama fans. Its some extreme portion of that fanbase that wants their show to completely take over the top anime section. Maybe I've missed it, but I don't see Brotherhood fans acting ravenous like their show is the best thing ever. I've seen it from Gintama fans, Jojo fans, but I don't see Brotherhood fans going off the deep end. I think Brotherhood fans know that their show is #1 and AoT is only going to go down once all the "only rate when its complete" people scores start coming in. |

| When I first became active on MAL, the #1 spot was held by Kimi no Na wa, which at the time was at least 9.28 and may have been above 9.3. This was before the official North American release, so anyone who would have seen it at that point would have to have either seen it in a theater or gone to the trouble of finding it from unofficial sources. As the film became more widely available, it was watched by people with a less fanatical, more casual interest, and the average vote from these viewers was not as high as from the early viewers, which results in the rating dropping over time. Yes, I've heard the stories of vote-bombing by fans of some works, and vote-rigging with multiple accounts. I hope MAL takes measures to identify and deal with these accounts and their votes. |

| Attack on Titan season 3 part 2 was never at number 1, when the first episode came out it had 9.19 rating and then it drop to 9.03, ironically it is back at 9.19 again. Can it surpass fmab when it ends? Possible, will it last long in that top spot? Probably not, but I'm very pleased with the score it has and how most of the comments are positive for this season, couldn't ask for anything more. @landoflobsters You are one of those people with a mean score below 5, your opinion is therefore invalid. liking only 1% of what you watch isn't convincing enough to take you seriously. |

| as someone who hasn't seen FMAB or any season of SnK after the first, I don't care because Mal scores are so warped as it is that taking the top spot is a pretty empty victory. half the top 100 on this site is only there because they're popular, not necessarily because they are of any quality. |

If I gave it at least a 3 then it that means it had something I liked in it, I just think that (if they're below a five) then they're not doing anything special or they have problems I can't ignore, despite my enjoyment. |
