I understand why you're annoyed, but you don't necessarily have to ask manga readers. A lot of anime don't adapt the entire manga and there is no guarantee that studios will make extra seasons. Manga readers might tell you spoilers you would never even see in the anime. You might also be disappointed if you heard about something you're looking forward to and finding out that the anime stops before getting to that point. You're not interested in reading manga so there is no need to concern yourself with manga spoilers when you can ask people who finished the anime instead, or simply look up information/videos on your own.

Thats what everyone has been saying this whole time. Well summarized.

But why bother even saying "go read manga". Thats my point. If you dont wanna answer just ignore it. I ask because i know that anime might not be continued. Thats why I ask. It can be answered by anyone. If you dont want to answer ignore it and thats that. I ask for myself not for anyone else. Sometimes I cant find answers on my own thats why information sharing between people is easier way.

I do both, but I definitely watch MUCH more anime that what I read (2,094 anime VS 224 manga/novels). Plus, I generally only read manga for 2 reasons, because I saw the anime and want to know the ending and the other reason being the porn (not gonna lie my manga list is like 70% hentai and Echi). The only manga I've read that diverges from those is Black Bird which I only started reading out of bordom while working at my local library's book sale. I ended up getting hooked and taking home their entire inventory of the manga. It's neither porn nor does it have an anime.

Manga readers only annoy me when they're the type who post unwanted non-spoiler-tagged spoilers in the forum for the anime.

i only hate it when they spoil or they keep comparing the anime to the manga.

otherwise if YOU yourself ask them to tell you about what happened in the manga i think they should just tell you to go read.for that case you are the one whos being annoying

B-but.. except dubbed, you have to read the subtitles right...?

Lol, jokes aside... I'm also a fellow anime-only before a certain point which i don't exactly remember.
At that time when i see other people keep telling to read the manga, I feel kind of annoyed, since when i read manga, the cycle of annoyed > read anyway > bored > fell asleep > gave up reading keep repeating itself..
Even now, I'm still a bit annoyed if the manga have an unrecognizable art.. but i find it less painful than being told to read LN/VN instead.. especially if it's only available in Japanese.. XD

I'm starting to get embarrassed by my own forum signature line.. XD

Reading manga is usually faster than asking on forums. The questions you have are already answered there. I see no issue. I also prefer animated stuff, but if the story is not ended in anime I just read manga / novel (or when I'm eager to extra content).

When source readers watch an anime, they are watching "how is it adapted" as the core content is no longer new or exciting to them. The experience between source readers and newcomers are very different. It can be rude sometimes if they completely ignore first-time watcher's experience when making statements.

Dude, if you were brazilian you'd know how annoying manga readers can get.

There's, like, whole big Facebook pages and YouTube channels that just spoil the sh*t out of what's coming on a future adaptation of something and don't even care if it's spoiling or not.

I hate when someone tells me about a show and I know I'll never watch it but they're dying to talk about it, so I'll just ask what happens and they wont tell me anything and just tell me to watch the show.
Never do.

Same situation. It's just how people are. Not restricted to manga readers.

You, my man have my answer. It takes like 30 minutes to read one volume of manga, if you just read it. I have read 3 volumes of manga in less than two hours. It takes less time than watching a few episodes of anime.
Reading a light novel is like reading actual book, but I have finished those in a few hours too. They are too harsh for people who don't enjoy reading, but manga certainly isn't. Manga has only few pages of actual text, many of them may have even less text than many forum posts here on mal.

I can understand that you don't enjoy to read manga, but it isn't exactly time-consuming if you put your mind into it. If you just want to know what happens in the manga, I think you can do it in less than 10 minutes, so it is certainly faster than asking forums.

Another option is just to wait. Find other series that you can watch while they make a new season. The only problem with that is they may never make it. Then you may have to read the manga, if you want to know how the story ends.

Reading the manga is often faster than watching the source. And additionally, if I were to describe say differences between Neon Genesis Evangelion and it's manga, It would take me a pretty long time. Long enough to where you could have read 2-4 volumes depending on how fast you read in the time it would take me to type it all out.

Why are you asking manga readers to do your book report for you?

Because that is what it feels like. And yeah, you are still having to read my explanation anyway, which, if you really did like anime, I don't know why you wouldn't want some pictures to go with the words.

I do however take time out a lot to explain manga vs. anime differences on Neon Genesis Evangelion.... but sometimes I wish people really would just read the manga. It is lonely when you like a manga based on an anime original. Especially since there are many source elitists who basically feel it the manga isn't canon, and more so because it wasn't written by the director/script writer but the character designer instead. Even though it is better explained, the art is more consistent, and the ending more complete than any of the others.

Most of the manga I read though, don't even have an anime.

I seriously would not spoil so much of the Evangelion manga (when people ask) if I thought people would even give it a chance. Funnily enough, when I start talking about Volume 5-7 they really get peaked... then volume 10.... Seems to be the way I get most people to read it. But there are some people who seriously had me spend 5 hours talking about it. Not that I really mind... just, I kinda think it would have been better had they read it.
