| I definetly think it's the way to the future. The right thing for humanity to do at this point would be to throw all differences aside and invest a lot of money into space travel and colonization of other planets , but that is idealistic and will probably never happen. | I think it's extremely unsettling that a country nestled between China and South Korea could be dystopic to the extent that it is. | What... Based on my encyclopedic (or rather wikipedic) understanding of postmodernist literature, I think I've only read a few postmodernist pieces (most of which were anthologies of poems). The ones I remember most vividly are The World and it's Wife by Carol Ann Duffy and I Wrote This For You by some writer. I find them to have impactful and 'meaningful' styles of writing. Some of Carol Ann Duffy's 'pastiches' in particular, such as Little Red Cap, presented several unwritten messages through such a style of writing. For example, by using a contrastingly dark tone while continuously alluding to the original story, Duffy's version of Little Red Cap, presents an almost inexplicable message that life isn't a fairy tale. For I Wrote This For You, the fallibility of the narrator and the 'introspective' tone with which she uses, stirred up more empathy in me than pieces from Shakespeares did. Overall, I would say that I enjoy reading post modernist literature, because the style of writing and stylistic devices amplify the writer's message and because post-modernist literature tend to be less fluffed up and tend to have more psychological and philosophical value. I would pick up a post-modernist piece over one of shakespeare's dramas any day. What do you think of memories? |

| I think it's hard to define who is truly a criminal fairly. I feel that someone should be considered a criminal, not based on what they do, but the motives they have when they did it. I definitely think that criminals are people who need to be disciplined through punishment to remind both themselves and others not to commit crimes. What do you think of yourself? |

| It's on rare occasions a good source of history and I love history, but recently it seems more cluttered with "reality" shows and I hate reality shows. Their programs also lean towards conspiracy realm territory and I get really frustrated by that, because, for example, like, of course somebody floated the idea that Japan would attack the US during World War II, there was a massive amount of information and different people with different theories about what would happen. To insinuate that US leaders purposely ignored 100% clear signs and wanted a surprise attack in order to join the war is just ridiculous. Did some information and wise people get ignored? Sure, that happens all the time, look at the housing bubble for one recent example. Is it a vast conspiracy theory? No. And even if it was, it's not up something calling itself the History Channel to present things that way. Objectivity is impossible, but the History Channel often purposely goes for the overly speculative/sensationalized story in order to get viewership and that's just disappointing.
