Non Non Biyori Manga Creator Atto Works on New Anime

"The September issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine revealed on Monday that Non Non Biyori manga creator Atto is creating original character designs for a new anime that is being planned. The announcement did not reveal any other details about the new anime. The October issue of the magazine will include a collaborative cover featuring Non Non Biyori and the new anime when it ships on August 27."

"Atto launched the Non Non Biyori manga in Monthly Comic Alive in 2009, and Kadokawa published the eighth compiled volume in March. Seven Seas is releasing the manga in North America.

The first television series adaptation of Non Non Biyori from director Shinya Kawamo and anime studio SILVER LINK (WATAMOTE, Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) premiered last year. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed it for North American digital and home video release.

The second season, Non Non Biyori Repeat, premiered earlier this month, and Crunchyroll is again streaming the series as it airs. Sentai Filmworks will release the second season on home video."
