Akashi and it's not even close. Aomine in his zone is equal to Kagami as there has never been a point where Aomine looked like he was completely dominating. They were toe-to-toe the entirety of their zone battle. The same Kagami(possibly even better since he gained experience and skill) got absolutely embarrassed by Akashi, literally crossed up and down like an amateur. Another thing to point is that Aomine HIMSELF claimed that he would have very difficult time scoring against Murasakibara where as Akashi has NO troubles. Akashi = entire GoM COMBINED. It was only plot device where Rakuzan lost and they have always looked like a stronger team convincingly.

Akashi can defeat the entire GOM on his own. in fact he is totally undefeatable. .it was just essential to the plot for him to lose..actually even murusakibara can defeat aomine

I could see Aomine in the zone being too fast for Akashi to react to him even by predicting his next move. That is if Akashi doesn't have other hidden moves to show...

Are you a fool? Spoiler alert: if akashi can react to zone kagami he can react to aomine WITHOUT ZONE

Akashi wins mid difficulty

Most likely Aomine. Anomine is the ace. Akashi is the captain. Just like any other team the capain is not the best. By definition Aomine is the better.

I agree with Akashi>Aomine, but Akashi soloing the Gom, and Seirein only winning due to BS and the plot requiring it? What the hell are people smoking? Explain yourselves.

i would say that akashi is stronger than Aomine (before Aomine lost to seirin and started practicing again)

the reason is simple cause Aomine never practice while akashi does.

but currently until the Extra game is done we cannot say that akashi is stronger than Aomine..the reason is simple

we never saw Aomine play again after they lost to seirin while akashi still continue to play so obviously we will see that Akashi becomes stronger but we can't predict Aomines growth

another reason is emperors eye mainly see's the future(not literally) it was because of the muscle movement that emperors eye can see and by that muscle movement he can predict the next move cause like they said in the manga that as long as it is a regular basketball everything starts from the basic like the time that akashi blocks midorima however midorima shoots the ball he will always start at the basic..

on the other hand Aomine's style is freestyle and to top it off it's irregular he doesn't follow basketball basics which can mean that his style is the only style that can rival the emperor's eye prediction..

i mention we can't predict who will be stronger whether it's akashi or Aomine not until EG is over the reason is simple.

the latest translated version was nash showed that he has emperors eye and he is way above akashi in every aspects..and if my hunch is right we will see here the real and improve strength of Aomine(since he started practicing after the loss) and we will be able to see how will his style play against nash with emperor eye.

cause basically the latest chapter shows that the stronger player at the moment in EG is nash therefore if Aomine is the one to beat nash technically the debate over whose better than akashi or Aomine will answer itself.

Well for me, I think Aomine will win.....at this time.

Previously, he would have lost. But now, Aomine has gotten the key to open the second door to zone.....he will obviously grow a lot more stronger.

Whereas, Akashi after becoming normal does not have any new skills to display.

In the xtra game, Nash has already rendered Akashi useless, even with his split personality........so, I am waiting for Aomine to show us something good.

I think 1 on 1 aomine will win

1st: the trigger to his zone is fighting stronger opponents" he can enter zone even if it's 1 on 1

2nd: he's the fastest GoM, if he's in the zone he can surpass akashi's EE easy (remember how kagami surpassed akashi but only fails doing meteor jam because of some teamtrap made by akashi)

If it's 5 on 5 i will give it to akashi/rakuzan

1st: he can enter the zone if it's 5 on 5 because the trigger of his zone is something to do with his team mate (just like kagami's trigger but on the opposite)

2nd: akashi+zone+emperor eye vs aomine+zone = akashi (too OP)

3rd: rakuzan's starter are stronger than tou even their bench players

Tell me what you think guys.

As it's an 1v1 situation

Aomine.
Aomine is a streetballer, these players excel at 1v1 situations.
He is also the most realistic player out of all GoM.

Akashi is better in a teamplay situation.
He uses brains in order to bypass his opponents, and seeing as Aomine is an streetballer with less predictable moves there is almost no situation to think fast enough in order to counter his unpredictable moves.

And then theres:
What if Aomine trained everyday?
What if Akashi didn't have his bullshit eye ability?

Akashi is kinda overrated, he just seems so powerful cause of plot and being the Captain of the GoM. When he didn't awaken his eyes the man was fodder compared to the rest. He got the shit beaten out of him, and when his eye ability finally awakened he starting getting cocky, gathering an absurd amount of good players, and training each day with them (yes Rakuzan players). He is a good player but if you remove all these aspects to him he is worth nothing and is just your average player. Aomine trained since young age and has achieved his skills with great determination and effort. It's got to the point where almost nobody could stand up to him unfortunately, resulting in him being cocky aswell. But all-in-all Aomine should deserve this win vs Akashi.

Know your facts guys, if this was real life Aomine would destroy everybody. And dont fan-boy Akashi constantly, it makes no sense.

I haven't seen season 3 and I know somewhat of Akashi's power and I Declare that you can't write English and are 15- years old.

Akashi would win, akashi has shown he can ankle break and use emperor eye on kagami even when kagami was in the true zone. Akashi ankle breaked him in the true zone only having to do it once. Akashi is not stronger but he is better. Akashi would out smart aomine and would over power him with his incomplete emperor eye(he unlocks the complete true emperor eye in the manga sequel when he combines both his personalities into 1 new personality)

People underestimate aomine too much, sure akashi has emperor eye, but his speed can only be defined as 'good'... whereas aomine's speed can be defined as 'prodigious', get what i am saying?
As i recall, a not-completely-serious aomine was described to be 'too fast to react to' by kagami and Hyuuga. Even Kise who's reflexes and agility are on par or greater than kagami's was completely blitzed without even a fake, aomine just ran and kise could barely react, again he wasn't fully serious, he was laughing smiling and still warming up, a completely serious aomine(non zone) would then be almost invisibly fast to normal or even above average and good players, even to the rest of the generation of miracles, his movements would be a complete blur. No matter how good emperor eye is , against someone who is blurringly fast, there is no way it would as efficient or accurate as it is with normal plays, tthat's big dent in akashi's weapon.
There are 2 more things i would like to point out:
Something midorima had said about aomine: "aomine is too unpredictable, his moves are too unconventional, completely out of the textbook. In basketball, all players follow styles that re based off of basic unspoken conventional rules, these rules restrict greatly the number moves you can do with a ball, but aomine breaks all those rules, he breaks all the conventional limits placed on a person's basketball. He is unstoppable He is limitless."
With this we can infer, that even if akashi usess emperor eye, he still has to deal with dribbles, ball movements, fakes, dives, formless shots, passes and body movements that he has never seen before, it would affect his reaction time.

Not to mention aomine's acceleration is inhuman, he can go from 0 - 100 in a split second, so if he accelerates and akashi uses emperor's eye, by the time he stretches his hand to reach the ball aomine would be almost completely past him, even if he knew when and where the ball would be, his agility isn't good enough to allow to reach it before it before it moves forward.
Simply put you need to be atleast close to as fast as the ball is, if you want to try to intercept it at a certain time and place even if you possess that information (which is what emperor eye does)
Akashi mostly fails to fulfill this condition...
It entire depends if akashi can use emperor eye just before aomine drives, he would have to predict that, he would have to use emperor eye to use emperor eye yet again at the perfect ttiming...which is nowhere near easy
Overall it is a tie...
However if we use akashi at the end of the game against Jabberwock, then it is without a doubt akashi [because...spoilers]

I think everybody is debating the wrong thing here. Look even IF Akashi can make Aomine fall that dosent mean, Aomine can't get back up in time to block his shot. Midorima forced Akashu to pass so why can't Aomine?

i'd say Aomine would win cuz simply he was the ace of teiko at the time where Akashi gained his emperor eye

my coment is baced on the last game.

aomine would beat anyone in a 1v1 because of this: 1 aomine is gom level but didnt train for A YEAR and he is keeping up with everyone.

2 aomine awoken hes power in hes 2 year of teiko while everyone else awoken their powers on 3 year.aomine was still the ace EVEN AFTER HE SAW AKASHIS EYE AND WOULDNT HAVE STOPED TRAINING IF AKASHI COULD BEAT HIM.

3 kise has zone now and this can help us see how strong aomine would be: basicly kises pf can copy the gom at their 80% but hes copys are always weeker than the original this was proven thx to akashi and aomine who both showed that. so kises zone should allow him to copy the gom when theyr in zone.

BUT kise was able to copy aomine in hes zone using only pf, AFTER THAT we saw im using akashis and atsushis copys WHICH WER NOT IN ZONE. this is because aomine STOPED TRAINING AND KISE KEPT TRAINING WHICH MEANS AOMINES 100% BECAME WEAK ENOUGH FOR KISE TO COPY IT WITH ONLY PF.

kise is like a trained version of aomine. this was proven WHEN KISE ENTERED THE ZONE AND BECAME FASTER THAN AOMINE AS STATED BY SILVER. KISE IN ZONE WAS ABLE TO 1V5 JABERWOCK USING AOMINES COPY.

now that aomine started training again he will reach a level higher than kise because a copy cant beat the original.

no mater how good akashi is he cant beat a trained aomine or current aomine whats so ever. aomines speed will reduce hes eyes effectivenes and aomines UNPREDICTABILITY might even complitly nagate akashi.

how op is a trained aomine??? WELL IF YOU CONSIDER THAT IF AOMINE TRAINS HES CURRENT 100% WILL BE HES 80% THIS MEANS THAT A BACE AOMINE WILL BE 2 AS FAST. ggggg

rather than being fanbois how about we look back at the show to see how they compare to each other?

Post-America training Kagami was able to go toe to toe with Aomine even after Aomine entered the zone, they were more or less equal "although Kagami needed Kuroko to save his ass like always in the end"

Same Kagami "or maybe even better now " got defeated rather easily by Kashi IN HIS BASE by using his eye only, then Kagami dive into the zone even deeper and become better then he ever been "even when he played against Aomine" but Once Kashi himself enter the zone Kagami become completely hopeless and outmatched, heck he couldn't even keep up with Akashi's speed

one thing to be noticed as well is the fact Aomine himself said it will be hard even for him to score against Murasakibara but Akashi once awaken his eye completely trashed him 5:0

Thats right Akashi is higher than zone Aomine in his base alone, if you wanna scale the players it will be like this :

Zone Akashi > deeper Zone Kagami > Base Akashi > Zone Aomine => Zone Kagami

yeah it's not even close

Aomine might be stronger and faster normally but Akashi is just far better player

One on one without Emperor Eye, Aomine wins. If with Emperor Eye, Akashi wins.
If Rakuzan vs Touou, Rakuzan wins.

Unlike the others, we all know Aomine had been neglecting practice since middle school. That's not a short amount time.
