| Personally I prefer lynching on day 1. Many prefer no lynch to avoid losing a casualty so early in the game. They also believe that it's better for the cop to do some investigation to bring back good news the next day. However, what are the chances that the cop will get a mafia during the night? Assuming that there are 3 mafias, it would be 3/14 chance. So if the cop doesn't get a mafia, what are we left to do on day 2 other than resort to random lynching? Furthermore, if we lynch someone on day 1. The cop will actually have a better chance to get the mafia during the night with a 3/13 chance. Granted, if we lynch the cop on day 1 then it's GG. However, if the cop is on the brink of being lynched then he can easily claim his cop role and have the doctor protect him in the night. However, This is unlikely because lynching the cop on day 1 only has a possibility of 1/14, whereas we have a better chance of lynching a mafia on day 1 with a 3/14 possibility. Granted, I haven't spoken about the doctor or lookout, but that would make my post even longer. |

| there's not really any right or wrong here; there are legitimate arguments as for why lynching or not lynching is better on day 1, and it's just a matter of opinion which one you prefer |
