I thought the ending was great, if anything it was the most powerful moment in the entire series. Everything comes full-circle and while everything isn't happy-go-lucky and its all tragic, theres a some degree of satisfaction, beauty and closure to the series that can't properly be put into words in my opinion.

I agree with some of you, the ending was kinda "Wtf". However I can't think of a better way that spike could of died. Wish we would of seen more of Julia before she died.... and I almost cried When Ed left..

Overall, I was okay with the ending. Maybe I would have liked something better but maybe not.

That's right, but i wish they've added a few more episodes about the past of Spike and the rest of the Bebop.

It was hinted that Spike was the son of Yuri from Dirty Pair, not Dirty Pair Flash if anyone remembers that anime. I also read someplace but I know with out a link not many people will believe me but anyways I read someplace that the director of the anime said that Spike did not die but he did not say it like that. He said something to the affect that Spike has been though tougher things in his life do you really think hes dead?

He told the Daily Texan that he never officially said he died. In fact, every time he's asked about the end it's with the assumption that Spike died, and he always says something to the effect of, "he's sleeping."

I'm new here. What, everyone thinks he died?

I heard people say he died before I finished watching the series. When I got to the end of RFB I almost laughed. "What are they talking about? He ain't dead!"

If you ask me, the ending is deliberately ambiguous. Half the viewers think he died, half think he lived. There is a margin of error of course, 'cause a number of people who've watched it don't know WHAT to think. :D I talk to a lot of people about it, online and offline, and you'd be surprised at the number of people who didn't see him die.

I didn't see him die, but that doesn't make it a happy ending, especially when you consider the last we see of these characters - Jet on the bridge of his damaged ship, depressed, wiping the window with a rag, Faye crying in the corridor, Ed off in search of a father who doesn't even remember she exists, and Spike face down on the stairs. I'm in the 'Spike lived' camp and I have to say the ending depresses the living daylights out of me.

The ending is tragic and depressing even if Spike doesn't die. I personally think he lived, but I'm betting I'm as wrong as those who think he died.

I didn't really want to care about the ending but it was sad. Spike fell to the staircase and I thought there'd be a pool of blood but then the episode turned out to be a suspense.

Maybe I'd imagined Spike defeats Vicious without having to struggle through his pain when he was limping down the stairs. He would go back to the Bebop in safety.
Numbuh 3, you've got to get off the couch, you cannot sit in that tree house, girl you like Rainbow Monkeys so grab your little shit and then swing!

Hand tracks be tracking me to different doorways. In a maze, and I don't know what to do. Guaranteed though, Ima find the emeralds.

"TURN THAT JAPANESE SHIT OFF OR I'LL PUT YOU THROUGH THE FUCKING WALL!"
